09/03/2021 - Softball Factory All-Region Tournament Emily is a 2023 graduate who plays outfield. She has an athletic build and strong overhand velocity of 62MPH. Emily has a nice layout dive in the outfield and good 1st step. In the box, she has natural power and rhythm. She has great speed and plays hard. Improving her barrel head action (not dropping) and more lower half will help Emily take her game to the next level. Overall, she has the skill set and tools to continue improving her game.
04/18/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Missouri City (Houston), TX Emily Rogers is an athletic 2023 outfielder who is a veteran of Softball Factory that continues to excel at every event she attends. In the outfield Emily is aggressive while also creating exceptional angles that make hard plays look easy. She looks comfortable and athletic with fluid arm actions and making clean quick exchanges. To show her athleticism Emily ran her 20 yard dash in 2.89 and had a broad jump of 7'2. At the plate, Emily has a strong smooth swing with great contact points using the whole field to her advantage. She has a powerful centered base and a firm front side in her swing. As always Emily continues to improve each event she attends while also showcasing her hard work hustle and great attitude.
01/15/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Emily is an athletic SS who has a bright future on the field. At the plate, she displays solid hitting with well above average power potential through a tall setup. Hands are quick (64 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. She makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. At SS, she displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as she displays proper footwork as she works to square ground balls up and plays through with her body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Throws are accurate with carry (56 mph velocity) to her target but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. She moves well laterally with range improving as she increases foot quickness. Mental makeup is a plus as she is very coachable, works hard to be the best player she can be, and is a team player. With 2 years to further develop, Emily has a lot of potential with time and room to progress her game.
