10/15/2017 - College PREP - Plano (DFW), TX Emma is a 2020 second baseman with a developing skill set. She has a great work ethic and hustles hard on and off of the field at all times. Defensively, Emma has range to her glove side. She stays low and athletic in her field position and presents a clean exchange. She is short to the ball and has accurate throws to her target. She has a quick release and keeps her throws on line. Offensively, she has a square and athletic set up with a soft stride to the ball. She loads back well in her legs and shows the ability to spray the ball to all areas of the field. While slapping, she has on time footwork but by focusing on keeping her front shoulder forward and her body towards the pitcher in her mechanics she will start to have more command over where she wants to place the ball as a slapper. Overall, by continuing to work on her game Emma will do what it takes to get her game to the next level.
