11/07/2013 - Softball Factory Hall of Fame Select Training Emma is an evolving C with a balanced skill set. Defensively, she receives with soft, sure hands, uses a low, stable set up and keeps her head down when blocking. Working on staying low when throwing will help to make throws more efficient. Overall, Emma has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she uses an athletically balanced set up with a short stride and keeps her balance centered before making hard contact. She shows good power and will benefit from a consistent approach in the box to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Emma has potential and solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
08/18/2013 - College PREP - Sioux Falls, SD Emma is a developing athlete with potential. As a C, she has an athletic presence with a strong, accurate arm with life on her throw, fields the bunt well, and has good receiving skills. Focusing on a quiet set up, quick footwork when blocking, and staying low and following the throw will increase accuracy and efficiency. As a hitter, she has an aggressive approach and produces contact. Focusing on a balanced, smooth set up, driving the hands through the zone, and patience will increase power and efficiency. A strength and conditioning program will also increase overall speed, agility, power, body awareness, and coordination. With implementation of the above recommendations, Emma will be on track for seeking collegiate attention.
