01/07/2022 - 2022 Softball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament Erin is a 2025 graduate who pitches and plays 2B. She has a small build and wants to learn. Erin is on the balls of her feet in a low ready position, and she makes routine plays at 2B. On the mound, Erin keeps the ball in the zone. Drop is her best pitch, and it has decent break with a top speed of 48MPH. She has a good mound presence. Improving her leg drive and explosion off the mound will increase her velocity and effectiveness. Working on her overall pitching mechanics, body strength, and pitch selection when hitting will help Erin take her game to the next level. Overall, Erin has the ability and skill set to continue improving her game on the diamond.
03/21/2021 - All-In Membership - Marlborough (Boston), MA Erin is a 2025 RHP/2B with a developing skill set. On the mound, Erin has a calm presence. She does a nice job engaging her lower half with a consistent leg drive. She has a controlled finish and is ready to field the ball if needed. She showed a 3-pitch package with her fast ball and drop ball working in the low 30’s. Keeping the same arm speed throughout pitches will allow her to conceal her change up. At 2B, Erin handles the routine play well. She fields with sure hands and gets in line with her target to make accurate throws. Working on her back hand approach will allow her to transition to throw more smoothly. In the box, Erin is a RHH that uses an open stance with centered balance. She loads her hands back and has a short, square stride. Being direct with her hands will allow her to generate more bat speed and stay inside the ball. Overall, Erin is a young player that will continue to improve her skill set.
