09/08/2019 - College PREP - Ellicott City (Baltimore), MD Erin is a 2022 right handed catcher and second baseman with a developing skill set. Behind the plate, she is fluid in her action and frames each pitch well in the strike zone. She needs to work on smothering the ball more on her blocks with her chest rather than sitting straight up. If she gets her chest over the ball more than she will start to consistently keep the ball in front of her at all times. She ha strong throws to bases and shows leadership qualities behind the plate. At second base, she has quick footwork and good flips on double plays. She works through the ball well and keeps her throws on line to her target. Offensively, she has a tall set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. Her hips and hands work well together through her swing and she has the ability to spray the ball to all parts of the field. Overall, Erin has great work ethic and adjusts well when needed.
