01/16/2015 - 2015 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Tournament Evvie is a 2016 RHP with a solid skill set and strong bat. On the mound Evvie has a good presence and is able to field her position. In games Evvie commits to her plan of attack and is not afraid to challenge batters. She maintains a pitchers mentality and works through though situations well. Evvie has an arsenal of pitches that are in the high 50's, low 60's and her change up drops off the mid 40's. In the box Evvie displays a square set up with good balance. She takes a direct route to the ball with a level bat angle and good bat speed. With good barrel accuracy Evvie is able to hit gap to gap with more power potential. Over all Evvie proves her dedication to the game with her hard work and we look forward to the collegiate opportunities that will come her way.
05/04/2014 - College PREP - Glen Allen (Richmond), VA Evvie continues to mature and develop athletically making strides to becoming a more well-rounded athlete. In the circle, her natural build and mound presence sets the stage for opposing hitters. Her pitching arsenal continues to be a vital force on the mound. Continuing to work on individual pitch spin and location will help to improve accuracy, movement and velocity. OVerall, Evvie strives to make quick adjustments and is eager to learn. At the plate, she relies on her fundamentals and produces contact. She shows good power and will benefit from implementing a stride and load, utilizing the lower half and driving the hands through the zone to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Evvie has a good frame for the position and solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
10/23/2013 - Ronald McDonald Tournament - 16U Evvie returns to us a player whom is steadily developing in all areas of the game. In the circle, she continues to command all of her pitches well and should contiue to work on her speed differentials to maximize the effectiveness of her off speed stuff. Spins need to remain the focus over velocity as she possesses a very live arm naturally. At the plate, Evvie continues to generate quick bat speed and shows the potential to be a complete hitter if her progression continues. Consistency in the box will breed more positive results and help her to find the confidence needed to dominate. The future remains bright for this young lady and her progression will be one to keep a close eye on.
08/24/2013 - College PREP - Bear, DE Evvie continues to compete and to improve athletically with every outing. As a RHP, she is full of talent and possesses a pitching arsenal that is a force to be reckoned with on the mound. Her maturity, position awareness, and fundamentals are sound and effective. Evvie understands the importance of diligence, work ethic, and leadership as she displays it on the field naturally. She mentally prepares for each plate appearance and it shows during each at bat. In the box, Evvie's aggressive approach and skill set produces hard, consistent contact--exhibiting flashes of pop at times--to all hitting fields. Her enthusiasm and passion is contagious amongst her peers and her natural instincts provide opportunities for her to control and produce momentum both on the mound and at the plate. Evvie's intangible attributes such as athleticism, instincts, and body language are admired and praised as she would be an asset to any collegiate program.
03/10/2013 - College PREP - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD
Evvie is a talented young RHP with an advanced feel for the position. She has the ability to change speeds while pitching to contact, repeats her delivery and competes in the strike zone with solid mound presence. She pounds the zone with some of her off speed pitches but will benefit from improving fastball/Drop/Rise command to keep her from being predictable. Her Rise will improve as she gets underneath it; her fastball will improve as she keeps herself on line and attacks the zone with solid direction. At the plate, Evvie uses a closed set up with a back load, short stride and sound balance. She is strong, looks athletic in the box and has the potential to develop power as she matures. Evvie tracks the ball well and will benefit from using more hip drive in her launch and improving her set up to eliminate a tendency to dive into the ball and cut off her lower half. Overall, Evvie has a ton of potential and is certainly a player to follow, with hard work and detailed drill packages her progression should be steady and have her ready to receive collegiate attention.
