Defensively, she is sure handed, tracks the ball well off the bat, has fluid footwork and has the potential to be a very good defender. She has a throwing arm that shows carry. She will benefit from improving her power step and keeping her feet active pre pitch while anticipating action. At the plate, Gabba uses a closed set up with a downward load, short stride and keeps her balance centered before launching her short swing to the ball. An aggressive hitter, she looks the part in the box, flashes pop and has some feel for the bunt game. To further develop, she will need to quiet down her hands, get her feet in line and keep them there throughout her swing and improve finish by keeping the barrel through the zone as long as she can to create extension. These adjustments will help her enjoy improvements in her power production and overall quality of contact and should be paid close attention to. Overall, Gabba is a solid player that will improve quickly with the help of the right coaching staff.
