12/29/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - Marlborough (Boston), MA Gabrielle is a RHP/SS prospect who continues to showcase her skills on the field. In the circle, Gabrielle works through a controlled delivery with a free arm. Her fastball tops out at 43mph. Extending through her release more can help Gabrielle improve her pitch command. At SS, Gabrielle shows quick footwork and is agile moving to the ball. She fields the ball out in front with a firm glove and has a quick exchange, making accurate throws with carry across the diamond. Gabrielle can field ground balls more efficiently by getting into a lower fielding position. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a soft stride. She is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side, producing consistent line drives. Engaging her lower half more can help Gabrielle generate more pop off the barrel. Overall, Gabrielle is a solid prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon her skills on the field.
11/15/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - Marlborough (Boston), MA Gabrielle only showed offensively at the event. At the plate, she shows an open setup. Hands are quick (56 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. She stays through the ball and works inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Hitting grades will continue to improve as she works to get stride foot down sooner to work on time. With 7 years to further develop, Gabrielle has potential with time and room to progress her game.
