She shows a fluid arm action, extends through her release and has a controlled finish. She creates ice spin on the ball and is able to locate the zone. Working to engage her lower half will allow her to increase in her velos. At 1B, Gena shows good field awareness. She handles the routine play well and makes accurate throws. Presenting her glove sooner will allow her to field out in front and make a quicker transfer. In the box, Gena is a RHH that uses a square stance. She has an aggressive approach and puts the ball in play with line drive power. Creating a consistent stride and load will allow her to see more rhythm in her swing. Overall, Gena is a coachable player that will continue to improve her skill set.
