In the circle, Gina uses backward hand position in a narrow, athletic stance and displays smooth rhythm and tempo throughout her delivery. Her landing is sound but her finish could be more complete to an athletic fielding position. She shows command of all 4 of her pitches and is able to change speeds without sacrificing location. As a 3B, she is a soft handed defender with fluid footwork and agile range. She has a quick release and a throwing arm that produces accurate results with carry. She will benefit from having earlier glove position when going to her backhand side to eliminate her tendency to stab at the ball, and with continued work should develop into a very complete defender. At the plate, Gina uses a square set up with no load, a short stride and her balance centered before launching her level swing to the ball. She hits the ball hard to all fields and should focus on improving her bat speed to increase her power potential and overall quality of contact. Overall, Gina has a lot of potential and needs to keep up the good work to secure her spot at the next level.
