01/12/2018 - 2018 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Tournament Hailey's dedication to the game has earned her Softball Factory Pre-Season All-American honors for the 3rd year. Her passion for the game is contagious and she helps to bring out the best in her teammates. She is a natural leader on and off the field. Offensively, Hailey is able to read the defense and create a plan of attack. She handles her bat head with confidence and is able to use the short game or work the gaps. She hustles down the line and will take an open base when given the opportunity. In the OF, Hailey shows off her speed and agility. She is able to make the tough plays to keep the ball from finding the gap and takes great angles when sliding or diving. She gets the ball back to the INF quickly with carry. Overall, Hailey will be a player to watch at the collegiate level.
01/13/2017 - 2017 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Tournament Hailey is a Softball Factory veteran that shows a pure passion and dedication to the game. She is always willing to learn about the game, take in coaching and make adjustments to her game. She is a true team player that is willing to contribute where her coaches need her. In the box Hailey is aggressive and willing to do what is needed to get on base. Once on base she is a constant threat to the defense. Continuing to read the defense when getting into the box will allow her to generate a game plan early. In the OF Hailey is a quick player that takes good angles to the ball. She is a consistent force and communicates well. She is has a strong arm and gets the ball in to her defense quickly. Working to gain ground with the crow hop will allow her to cut down the distance of her throws. Overall Hailey is a player that will be an asset at the collegiate level.
01/15/2016 - 2016 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Tournament Hailey joins us for her 8th Softball Factory Player Development event. She continues to work hard and dedicate herself to achieving the best she can on the field. Her passion for the game allows her to be a coachable player that is able to make game time adjustments. She goes above and beyond for her teammates and coaches, which makes her an asset to any line up. During game play Hailey had great battles at the plate. She worked the count and fouled off pitches until she could find something she could drive. Once on base, she showed good instincts and was aggressive to take extra bases when given. Defensively Hailey is a vocal player that supports her teammates. In the OF she tracks the ball well and is willing to leave her feet to keep the ball from finding the gap. Continuing to use her body efficiently will allow Hailey to be quick to the ball and will also allow her to generate momentum on her throws to the plate. Overall Hailey is a player that is focused on her team and will be a great asset to a collegiate line up.
11/18/2015 - Under Armour Softball Factory Fall Classic - 16U A Red Hailey is a returning player that continues to show dedication to this game. Throughout game play Hailey showed very good leadership qualities on and off of the field. In the box Hailey has an aggressive approach but is able to demonstrate finesse with the short game. She is a consistent line drive hitter and challenges defenses with her speed. Seeing the ball deeper into the zone and being on time to contact will allow Hailey to see continued success in the box. In the OF Hailey is a quick player with great presence. She tracks the ball well, takes a good first step and takes good angles. She uses the crow hop well to help generate momentum to her target. Throughout tournament play Hailey worked to make heads up plays and proved to be a coachable player. Hailey is an exciting player to work with and she has the tools needed to play at the collegiate level.
08/16/2015 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Hailey is dedicated to the game of softball and continues to work hard on her skill set. Hailey is a slap hitter that can also square up to hit. When slapping, Hailey has fluid and on time footwork. She shows good pitch recognition and good control of her bat head. She puts the ball in the 5/6 hole and challenges defenses with her speed down the line. She has a good presence and her athleticism allows her to use the short game and the gaps to her advantage. Defensively she is a two-way player as 2B/OF. At 2B she has explosive footwork and is able to cover a lot of ground. She has good field awareness and sets up well for the double play. She is a natural leader and is always communicating with her team play to play. In the OF Hailey's speed and ability to read the ball allow her to take away a lot of gap hits for her pitcher. She takes good angles, gets behind the ball and gets in line with her target. Hailey has the tools to play at the collegiate level and her work ethic will allow her to have that opportunity.
12/27/2014 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Hailey is a 2018 2B/OF who continues to improve each event. She is a hard worker and has good/quickness that complements her ability in both positions. At 2B, Hailey has an athletic fielding position, takes good angles on ground balls, and has a nice/smooth transfer. She needs to continue on staying low when fielding the backhand and fielding the ball out in front. In the OF, Hailey has a great first step and does an excellent job of using her speed to get behind the ball. She exemplifies leadership both verbally and with her actions. She needs to do a better job attacking the play to become more of a defensive threat. At the plate, Hailey uses an open set up and keeps her balance centered. She needs to work on letting the ball travel deeper in the zone to increase power and accuracy. From the left side, she has an understanding of her responsibilities as a slapper. She displays focus and intensity in the box and with continued work on her mechanics will make her more of a slapping threat. Overall, Hailey has solid athletic ability with a strong desire to improve. She will continue to develop and in the future will be an asset to a collegiate program.
09/27/2014 - SF Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend (Commuter) Hailey is well-balanced slapper and right handed hitter with excellent foot speed. From the right side of the plate, she uses a square and athletic stance to make a positive move to the ball. Hailey takes a direct route to the ball and displays good hip and hand coordination. She will increase power driving her back knee and accelerating her hips. As a slapper, Hailey is very coachable and explodes out of the box after contact. She needs work keeping her hands back and timing her footwork. Overall, Hailey is a great kid with an outstanding attitude. She brings focus to each training session and a strong desire to get better. Hailey possesses many of the intangible characteristics that would be an asset to a collegiate program.
07/21/2014 - Factory Development Institute National Select Program Hailey continues to refine her skill set defensively as a 2B and OF and understands the demands of both positions well. As a 2B, she takes good angles with fluid footwork, quick and efficient feeds and pivots, and good range. Continuing to work on keeping the glove down, remaining in an athletic fielding position, and keeping the arm slot quick and accurate. As an OF, she hustles, moves well laterally, and makes quick, accurate throws. Continuing to work on getting behind the ball and getting to the powerline will help to improve fielding efficiency. Overall, Hailey communicates well and gives exemplary effort consistently on the field. As a hitter, she drives through the ball as she keeps her balance centered before producing consistent contact from the right side. She shows potential for power and will benefit from timing and controlled lower half to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field more effectively. From the left side, she has an understanding of slapping and will benefit from working on her technique. Overall, Hailey has a good frame for the position and solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
11/07/2013 - Softball Factory Select Training at Vero Beach Hailey is a talented 2B with a well-balanced skill set. Defensively, she fields with sure glovework, uses quick footwork with a controlled approach, takes good angles to various balls and covers much ground with intensity. Working on quick, accurate feeds will help her to improve efficiency. Overall, Hailey has natural talent and has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she uses an athletic set up and keeps her balance centered before making contact. She shows potential and will benefit from an explosive lower half to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Hailey is enthusiastic, passionate, and eager and has solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
09/28/2013 - SF Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend (Commuter) (Ages 13-18) Hailey is a talented hitter with a well-balanced skill set. At the plate, she uses an athletically balanced set up with a hike leg stride and quick bat speed before launching to the ball with her short swing. Working on utilizing the lower half will generate more power at contact, ultimately, allowing her to access the entire field effectively. She has natural strength, makes adjustments, and works hard and will benefit from continued application of skills. Overall, Hailey has an aggressive, confident approach and has solid athletic ability to aid in her continued development as a hitter.
07/09/2013 - Advanced Training and Competition at the World Cup Hailey continues to develop as an athlete. Her willingness to learn and make adjustments sets a tone on the field. As a 2B, she has an athletic fielding position, confident glovework, quick footwork, and decent feeds and pivots. Continuing to focus on arm slot/strength, routes to various balls, and quicker transfers will increase range and efficiency. As a hitter, she has an athletically balanced set up with a short bat path that produces contact. Continuing to focus on a stride and load, utilizing the lower half, keeping the front side closed, and timing will increase power and consistency. Implementing a strength and conditioning program will increase speed, agility, power, body awareness, and coordination. As Hailey continues to develop and mature through application and experience, she will be on track for seeking collegiate attention.
