03/09/2014 - College PREP - Baltimore, MD Hailey is a junior catcher with a well-balanced skill set. Behind the plate, Hailey has an athletic set up and can move easily from side to side. She receives the ball with soft and sure hands when delivered from the pitcher. Hailey has fluid footwork and agile range when blocking a ball and covering a bunt. By working on her overall throwing mechanics, Hailey will be able to get rid of the ball quicker develop a more accurate arm. Offensively, Hailey uses an open stance with a backward load to make a positive move to the ball. She is a strong, aggressive hitter that maintains centered balance through contact. Hailey has quick bat speed, and a level swing which helps her consistently hit the ball hard up the middle. Overall, Hailey is a hardworking athlete that will continue to develop as a player.
