02/17/2014 - College PREP - Washington (Pittsburgh), PA Halei is a talented OF with a well-balanced skill set. As an OF, she has an aggressive approach and tracks balls well at times. Working on an athletic pre-pitch position, reading the ball off the bat, staying composed when fielding and arm strength will help her to improve overall fielding efficiency. Overall, Halei is enthusiastic and has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she uses a short stride and level bat path with good rhythm as she makes hard contact to the pull side. She shows potential for serious power and will benefit from implementing a stride and load, bat extension and an explosive lower half to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Halei has a good frame for the position and solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
