11/14/2018 - Under Armour Softball Factory Fall Classic - 18U Haley Price is a strong solid athlete who can be an asset at catcher or in the outfield. As a catcher, she sets up low and athletic and presents her glove well. She is agile on blocks and sticks the frame with a firm glove. Her exchange is quick and clean and she has fluid arm action on the throw. With her quick release she gets good strength and accurate throws. She will increase her pop times and strength on the throw with more body momentum to the target. Haley also throws down to second base from her knees and does it very effectively. In the outfield, she has good pre-pitch movement and active feet. She reads the fly ball well and uses quick feet to get into position to come through the ball. As a hitter, Haley sets up square and athletic and uses fluid rhythm to stay loose. She has short soft stride, good load and she uses good hips and hands to start her swing. By keeping her front elbow bent on the load and throwing it through the pitch she will increase her power and consistency. Overall, Haley has a strong work ethic, always hustles and has an advanced skill set.
