04/28/2013 - College PREP - Atlanta, GA Hannah (Boo) is a talented young C with a solid understanding of the game on both sides of the ball. Defensively, Boo has a quick release, strong arm with carry and produces accurate results from her feet and knees. She has very athletic actions, agile range side to side on blocks and will benefit from improving balance in set up by being wider, squaring body more when blocking with her butt in a low centered position. She gets out on bunts very well, gains ground to throw and has a solid feel for receiving which gives her the potential to be a complete Catcher. At the plate, Boo uses a square set up with no load, a short stride and keeps her balance centered before launching her quick swing to contact. She hits the ball hard to all fields, takes the box with conviction and displays good rhythm throughout her swing with an understanding of staying through contact to create extension. Boo gets a little wristy at times ( hands roll through zone) but maintains solid barrel accuracy and should consider widening her stance some to aid her lower half with a stronger foundation, ultimately improving power production and potential. Overall, Boo has a lot of traits that college coaches are looking for from the catching position; her continued success will be a direct reflection of her work ethic and desire to reach her full potential which suggests she could be one heck of a college player
