11/07/2013 - Softball Factory Select Training at Vero Beach Hayley is an evolving C with a balanced skill set. Defensively, she uses an athletically flexbile set up with firm receiving skills and quick footwork when blocking as she centers and deadens various balls. Working on curving the shoulders and a quicker transfer will increase blocking and throwing efficiency. Overall, Hayley is an eager learner and has a confident approach behind the plate. At the plate, she uses an athletic set up with a back load, a short stride and keeps her balance centered before launching to the ball with quick hands to produce line drive contact. She shows good power and will benefit from a more explosive lower half to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Hayley is passionate and talented and has solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
