05/29/2014 - College World Series Select Training Heather is a sophomore right-handed pitcher / first baseman with a developing skill set. On the mound, Heather uses a drop ball, change up combination to attack each batter. She has the most command of her fastball and can locate it in and out accurately. Her change up will be more effective if she is able to take off some speed. Defensively, Heather has a square pre pitch setup. She receives the ball with firm hands in front of her body. Heather has active footwork and can move well at times. Heather will benefit from working on her overall confidence on the field. Offensively, Heather uses a square setup in the box to get set for the pitch. She has a small weight shift and short stride, which gets her ready for the contact position. By working to drive through contact and get to extension, Heather will be able to increase her power numbers and overall consistency.
11/10/2013 - College PREP - Fresno, CA Heather is a developing 5' 8" right handed pitcher. With level shoulders and a good athletic stance she stays in line to her target. She uses a full arm swing with a smooth tempo. Working on staying tall and keeping her chest back will help with accuracy of pitches. Offensively, Heather uses a square set up with a short stride to make consistent contact. With an aggressive approach, she is able to put the ball in play, giving her team opportunities on offense. Overall, Heather is a coachable, team player who will continue to grow with more game experience.
