01/25/2014 - College PREP - Jackson, MS Hope is an athletic junior catcher with a developing skill set. Behind the plate, Hope has soft and sure hands with a quick release. She has fluid footwork with agile range and moves side to side smoothly. Hope sticks the ball well when receiving from the pitcher. By working on her arm strength and accuracy, Hope will become more of a threat behind the plate. Offensively, Hope uses a square setup with a downward load and short stride to make a positive move to the ball. She has a short swing path to the ball and maintains centered balance throughout her motion. Hope will benefit from finishing her swing and extending through the ball. Overall, Hope is a hard worker that will continue to develop as a player.
