11/07/2013 - Softball Factory Select Training at Vero Beach Jada is an evolving 3B with a balanced skill set. Defensively, she fields using firm hands, uses active footwork to move laterally to various balls and makes good throws. Working on a quick fielding exchange will help her to improve efficiency. Overall, she is eager to learn and has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she uses square set up with mid hands and a short, square stride before making contact with a level swing. She shows good power and will benefit from a stride and load as well as an explosive lower half to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Jada is a leader, enthusiastic and has solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
07/23/2013 - College PREP - Watertown, WI Jada is a young 3B with a strong arm and quick feet. She has good footwork to and through the fielding process, has a strong arm with carry and will benefit from being more consistent with earlier glove position out front with her fingers down. She displays agile range through clean precise steps off the bat and should continue to work on getting upper/lower body on same page. At the plate, Jada uses a tall set up with no load, a short stride and keeps her balance centered before launching her hands to the zone. She will improve her point of contact, power production and overall quality of contact by keeping her head on the ball longer, keeping her bat path shorter to the zone and keeping her barrel through contact to ensure extension. She has some feel for the bunt game and should continue to use it to apply pressure to opposing defenses. Overall, Jada has a developing skill set and should continue to seek quality instruction and reps to improve comfort and confidence on the field and at the plate.
