11/02/2014 - College PREP - Mobile, AL Jamie is a vocal and athletic 2017 SS. Jamie has soft/sure hands and does a nice job fielding the ball out in front. She makes a low transfer but has a strong/accurate arm that shows carry to 1B. She has quick footwork and shows range to her backhand and has a fluid approach up the middle. Working on transferring higher will allow Jamie to get the ball out of her glove quicker and more smoothly. Her athleticism makes her a natural fit for the position and her communication skills allow her to be a leader. In the box Jamie has an athletic and square set up. She has an activated load but tends to rush her timing. Working on being direct and inside the ball will allow Jamie to see consistency in the box. She makes hard contact with the ball for line drive production and adding more extension to her swing will allow her to become a gap-to-gap hitter. Over all Jamie has the potential to play at the collegiate level and continued hard work will allow her to do so.
