07/09/2013 - College PREP - Albany, NY Jenna is a talented RHP from the 2014 class. In the circle, Jenna features a full arm circle in an athletic stance with smooth rhythm throughout her balanced delivery. A strike thrower, she has the ability to change speeds while pitching to contact and has the frame to support growth at the position. Jenna will benefit from continuing to work on landing on a softer front foot to improve extension to the plate and should continue to work on her grips/spins to improve overall quality of secondary pitches. At the plate, Jenna uses a square set up with a back load, short stride and keeps her weight back before launching her short swing to the ball. She has a level path through the zone, uses her lower half well and displays some rhythm through a compact swing that produces solid contact to the pull side. To further develop offensively, Jenna needs to keep her barrel through contact for better extension as well as seeing the ball deeper into the hitting zone to improve point of contact which will allow her to effectively access the rest of the field. Overall, Jenna is a sharp young lady with the potential to get better each time out if she is properly developed; she applies coaching well and is a solid competitor on both sides of the ball.
