08/17/2014 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Jennie is a senior catcher with a continuing skill set. Behind the plate, Jennie has an athletic body style and setup. She gains ground on throw downs and keeps the ball low. By working to get her hips around the ball when blocking and increasing her arm strength, Jennie will add to her overall abilities behind the plate. Offensively, Jennie uses a crouched setup in the box before making her move to the ball. She makes good contact at times and has the ability to hit the ball hard. Jennie keeps her weight slightly on her backside through contact. She has a good, athletic finish after she drives through the extension position. Jennie will benefit from adding a load and square stride to her approach. By incorporating the use of her legs, Jennie will only increase her power numbers. Overall, Jennie is continuing to develop her fundamentals and skill set behind the plate and in the batters box.
