12/27/2014 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Jennifer is a 2016 C/SS with a strong bat. Behind the plate, Jennifer has a strong/centered body position. She has knowledge of the position's fundamentals and does a good job of keeping the ball in front when blocking. She needs to continue to improve on being more compact on transfer to limit wasted movements on throw downs. At SS, Jennifer has low/athletic pre-pitch and sure hands. She does an excellent job of fielding the ball out in front and uses proper footwork to move side to side. Jennifer needs to work on maintaining a low and athletic position when making a play on the ball to help her make her movements more efficient. Offensively, Jennifer does a lot of things right. She uses a square stance and a direct/level swing path to make hard/consistent contact with the ball. Adding more load to her swing will help Jennifer create a little more bat angle at contact and allow her to see more consistency in her power production. Overall, Jennifer is a talented player with skills that will transfer to the next level.
05/29/2014 - College World Series Select Training Jennifer is a sophomore catcher / shortstop with a well-balanced skill set. Behind the plate, Jennifer does a good job of centering her body to the plate when blocking. Her footwork is in line to her target when making a throw. By working on her release point and getting rid of the ball quicker, Jennifer will be able to throw out more runners on steal attempts. At shortstop, Jennifer has a square and low pre pitch position. She receives the ball out in front of her body with sure and firm hands. Jennifer has active footwork with playable range when moving from side to side. Offensively, Jennifer uses an open setup with a short stride to make a positive move to the ball. She consistently makes hard contact with ball and drives through contact. In game play, Jennifer hit a home run to left field and a line drive down the first base line. By working to keep her hands more inside the ball, Jennifer will only increase her pop numbers. Overall, Jennifer is a solid player with a lot of passion for the game.
01/17/2014 - Softball Factory Spring Training at Vero Beach Jennifer continues to evolve as a C who commands the field well. Defensively, she relies on her fundamental skill set and confident glovework behind the plate. Continuing to work on an athletically balanced set up, fluid footwork and accurate arm slot will help her to improve position efficiency. At the plate, she has an aggressive approach that makes her a contender as a hitter. She keeps her balanced centered before she produces hard contact, line drives at times, to various hitting fields. Continuing to work on a stride and load, keeping the front side closed, an explosive lower half and timing will help her to improve power on contact allowing her to be a more versatile opponent in the box. Overall, Jennifer makes adjustments and has solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
11/24/2013 - College PREP - Houston, TX Jennifer is a young sophomore catcher that can also play shortstop. Behind the plate, Jennifer keeps the ball in front well and has a quick release when getting rid of the bunt. She also has soft and sure hands with agile range and fluid footwork. Working on her arm slot and keeping her head down will improve her overall fundamentals. In the field, Jennifer hustles and works hard to finish the play. Working on fielding the ball more out in front with help her become more consistent and make clean transfers. Offensively, Jennifer uses a square setup, back load, and a short stride before launching to the ball. With a short swing path, Jennifer makes consistent contact. Working on keeping her hands inside the ball will help her hit to both sides of the field. Overall, Jennifer is a hardworking athlete that will continue to grow and develop as a player.
