04/14/2019 - College PREP - Manheim (Harrisburg), PA Jessica is a 2021 right handed pitcher and first baseman with a strong skill set. She works hard every time she steps on the field and shows improvement from the last time we saw her at a softball factory event. In the circle, she has a calm presence and extends through well on her release. She is strong in her lower half and drives off of the mound well creating solid velocity behind her pitches. She has great control on her change up and can mix it in any count. She is athletic and balanced through her pitching motion. At first base, she has active feet and range to both sides. She stays low through each play and has a clean exchange on her throws to her target. She is short in her action to the ball and makes strong throws across the diamond. Offensively, she has a square stance in the box and a short stride to the ball. She loads back well in her lower half and stays center in her balance. She squares up the ball consistently and displays power in her contact. Overall, Jessica is very coachable and has a great attitude.
