11/17/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Fall Classic - 18U Jillian is a 2023 graduate who catches and plays 2B. She is vocal, engaged and aggressive behind the plate. As an infielder, she hustles and attacks ground balls showing advanced field awareness. In the box, she flashes power and a firm front side. During game play, she barreled up many balls and had several base hits including two doubles and two home runs. Overall, she has the skill set and tools to be a high level college softball player once her high school career comes to an end.
07/07/2021 - All-In Membership - Richmond, VA Jillian is a 2023 graduate who plays 3B and catches. Behind the dish she has a quiet head with soft hands and tracks the ball. She makes accurate throws and has a pop time of 1.84 seconds. In the field, she is aggressive with active feet and moves well laterally. In the box, Jillian has an athletic setup with strong and quiet hands and consistently sprays to both sides of the field. More of a lower half in the box and being down sooner and not kicking back will help Jillian take her game to the next level. Overall, she has the ability to improve her skills on the softball field.
06/29/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Jacksonville Storm Showcase - 16u Jillian is a 2023 graduate who is a UT/OF. She has a strong and fit build and is a vocal leader. She is athletic with a great skill set and softball IQ. On defense, she makes the play no matter where she is at on the field. In the box, Jillian has strong barrel awareness and lifts the ball consistently. Behind the dish, she has a 1.94 pop time. Having hands above the ball at contact and staying in her legs through extension will take her game to the next level. Overall, Jillian has the skill set and tools to further improve her game on the diamond and compete at the next level.
02/27/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Ruther Glen (Richmond), VA Jillian is an athletic 3B/C who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the dish, she presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. She uses her body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed a range of 1.94-2.06 with accuracy / carry (60 mph velocity) on her throws. At 3B, defensive abilities are solid as she displays smooth, fluid actions. Feet are active as she attacks balls and plays through with her body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. At the plate, she continues to shine, displaying solid hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (66 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. She stays inside the ball well, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Hitting grade will continue to improve as she works to get stride foot down sooner to work on time. With 2 years to further develop, Jillian has the makings of a special type player with time and room to progress her game.
