01/17/2020 - 2020 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Jocelyn O’Keeffe is a 2024 utility player with a developed skill set. She was able to showcase her skills in multiple positions and has a true passion for the game. In the infield, Jocelyn shows agility in her lateral range and fields from a low and athletic position. She has an aggressive mindset and gives every play her all. She sees the ball off the bat well and is able to create good angles to the ball and through it for an accurate throw to her target. Offensively, Jocelyn has a square setup and soft stride to the ball. She has fluid rhythm and her barrel stays on plane with each pitch. She has the ability to square up pitches from gap to gap and is aggressive and smart on the bases.
05/30/2019 - Softball Factory College World Series - Futures Select Training Jocelyn returns to another Softball Factory event displaying her skill set and great work ethic. Defensively, she stays athletic in her motion and is ready at all times for the next play ahead of her. She is quick in her footwork and agile in her range to the ball. She fields the ball out front and makes accurate throws to her target. She moves through each play with solid momentum and keeps the ball in the infield. Offensively, she is relaxed in the box and stays center in her balance. She is controlled through her swing path and works her hips and hands well together through her swing. She makes consistent contact and can drive the ball in the gaps. Overall, Jocelyn continues to impress with her great attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
11/08/2018 - Softball Factory Select Training & Competition at Historic Dodgertown ( Grad Years 2024-2026) Jocelyn O'Keeffe is an athletic and coachable second baseman and outfielder with a great attitude. As a second baseman, she has quick active feet, moves through the ball well and has good momentum. Jocelyn takes great angles to the balls on her sides which results in her agile range. Her double play footwork is very good and she uses a quick and clean exchange with consistently accurate throws. In the outfield, Jocelyn charges the ball well and has good momentum throughout her throw. With quicker arm action and release she will improve on her delivery. As a hitter, Jocelyn has an athletic stance and uses fluid rhythm and a soft stride. Her hips and hands work well together and her swing path stays on plane through the ball, which gives her good extension. Overall, Jocelyn is a vocal player, hustles at all times and works hard. She has a developing skill set and a lot of potential.
08/26/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Trenton, NJ Jocelyn is a 2024 second baseman and outfielder with a developing skill set. At second base, she has active feet and stays low through each play. She has soft hands when fielding the ball and makes accurate throws to her target each time. In the outfield, she has solid glove transitions and keeps her throws on line to her target. She has a clean exchange but needs to work on tracking the ball better off of the bat so that she can position herself well behind the ball to come through the ball with as much power as possible. Offensively, she has a square and athletic set up in the box with a short stride to the ball. She has good rhythm in the box and displays the ability to drive the ball to all sides of the field. Overall, Jocelyn has great work ethic and hustles hard.
