01/17/2014 - Softball Factory Spring Training at Vero Beach Jordan continues to evolve athletically with passion and determination. Defensively, she plays two position, RHP and 1B, and understands the demands of both positions well. On the mound, she relies on her pitching fundamentals to assist her arsenal of pitches. She continues to develop and refine individual pitches to help her improve efficiency as a pitcher. Continuing to work on leg drive, arm speed and pitch delivery will help her to improve overall velocity, accuracy and movement. As a 1B, her natural presence and command of the field is noticeable. She fields from an athletic fielding position and possesses confident glovework. Continuing to work of fluid footwork as she stays down and through the ball will help her to improve transfer time when fielding. She makes adjustments, works hard and commits to both positions earnestly. At the plate, Jordan has an aggressive bat, good weight transfer and is naturally strong. She shows good power to the pull side as a left handed hitter forcing the 1B to retrieve hard contact consistently. Continuing to work on bat speed and extension will help her to improve power on contact allowing her to be a more versatile hitter. Overall, Jordan has a passion for the game and natural talent to continue her athletic growth as an athlete.
10/06/2013 - College PREP - Bristol, TN Jordan is an evolving athlete with a balanced skill set. Defensively, she plays two infield position, RHP and 1B, and understands the demands of both positions well. As a RHP, she has a full arm swing with an athletic stance and smooth rhythm in the circle. Working on driving the leg through the powerline will improve velocity and movement. As a 1B, she fields the ball out in front consistently. Working on a quick exchange will improve transfer time. Overall, Jordan is aggressive and has a confident approach on the mound. At the plate, she uses a square set up with a back load, a short stride, and keeps her balance centered before launching to the ball. She shows potential for power and will benefit from keeping the front side closed to improve power on contact, ultimately, allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Jordan has a good frame for the positions at 5'6 and has solid athletic ability to aid in her continued development as a player.
