09/28/2013 - SF Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend (Commuter) (Ages 13-18) Julie is an evolving hitter with a balanced skill set. At the plate, she uses an athletically balanced set up with a short stride, consistent load, and rhythmically sound presence before launching to ball with a short swing. Working on keeping the shoulders and the hips uniformed will help her improve power at contact point, ultimately, allowing her to access the entire field effectively. She produces hard, line drives and eagerly makes adjustments and will benefit from finessing skill set with continued application. Overall, Julie is an enthusiastically aggressive athlete and has solid athletic ability to aid in her continued development as a hitter.
06/17/2013 - College PREP - Ashland, OH Julie is a developing athlete. As a 1B, she has decent footwork, agile range, and enjoys playing the game. Focusing on arm strength/slot and confident glovework will increase efficiency and fielding success. As an OF, she is athletic, has good range, and shows hustle and energy. Focusing on arm strength/slot and confident glovework will increase accuracy, velocity, and fielding success. As a hitter, she has an athletic approach, good rhythm, timing and footwork. Focusing on a quick bat and athletic hitting stance will increase contact and efficiency. With implementation of the above recommendations, Julie will be on track for seeking collegiate attention.
12/27/2012 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament - Florida Julie is a very mature player with soft hands and active feet. As a 1B, she has an athletic fielding position, is a vocal leader and should continue to work on fielding out front/playing through. She is an aggressive OF, using her voice well; keeping active feet and consistently gives great hustle and plays with energy. At the plate, Julie is a tough out and knows how to work a count. She puts the ball in play and applies pressure to the defense whenever possible. Overall, Julie was great to work with and maintains eye contact at all times when being coached. She asked good questions and should have little trouble continuing to develop her skill set with continued work and attention to details.
