07/09/2013 - Advanced Training and Competition at the World Cup Justice continues to develop as an athlete. As a 2B, she has a basic skill set and a low, squared fielding position. Continuing to focus on a strong, accurate arm, confident glovework, fluid footwork, body and position awareness, and routes to various balls will increase efficiency and fielding success. As a hitter, she made adjustments at the plate. Continuing to focus on a stride and load, driving the hands through the hitting zone, utilizing the lower half, bat extension after contact, and timing will increase power and efficiency. Implementing a strength and conditioning program will increase speed, agility, power, body awareness, and coordination. As Justice continues to develop and mature through application and experience, she will be on track for seeking collegiate attention.
02/10/2013 - College PREP - Sacramento, CA Justice is an aggressive 2B with a developing skill set. Defensively, she has an athletic approach to the ball, squares up to field and keeps her feet active. To further develop, she will need to improve her arm slot, soften hands and play lower at the hips with her glove presented out front with fingers down. At the plate, Justice uses a square set up with no load or stride and generates good bat speed with quick hands at times. She flashes the ability to drive the ball and will do so more consistently if she uses her lower half more aggressively, keeps her barrel through contact to create extension and improves her balance throughout her swing. Overall, Justice should continue to seek quality instruction and opponents to ensure her development continues in a timely manner.
