OVERALL Position Projection:
12/17/2021 - Softball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Justine is a 2025 graduate out of Orange Beach, AL who pitches and plays OF. She has a strong softball IQ and battles on the mound. She can put hitters away. Working on her hips being open will allow her to create more power and will increase consistency. She needs up and down pitches and could improve her weight transfer to increase movement on all her pitches. In the box, Justine swings on-plane. She has power potential with consistent contact but could use more explosiveness from her lower half. Overall, Justine has the skill set and tools to continue improving her game on the diamond. We look forward to seeing what the future holds as Justine enters her freshman softball season.
06/03/2021 - Softball Factory College World Series - Prospects Select Training Justine is a strong 2025 RHP that attended the College World Series Select Training Event! Pitching wise she throws a fastball, changeup, and drop ball. She has a great build, good mechanics and control. On her changeup, she has good speed on the ball and the pitch is very deceptive. Her drop ball has good tight break. She uses her lower half well, and has good leg drive when she pitches. If she can work on a quicker snap and using her fingertips more she will be more successful. Hitting wise, she has a good setup in the box and is balanced at the plate. She has good box presence and a smooth swing. She is a line drive hitter and makes consistent contact. Something for her to work on is keeping her hands inside the ball and staying direct, instead of going out and around with her hands. Overall, Justine was great to work with and someone our coaching staff would love to work with in the future!
12/12/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - East Hampton (Hartford), CT Justine is a RHP/1B prospect who will graduate in 2025. In the circle, Justine shows a four pitch mix with her fastball topping out at 54mph. Changeup sits from 39-41mph. Curveball sits from 49-53mph. Drop ball sits from 49-52mph. Loosening her arm action can help Justine improve her pitch command. In the field, Justine shows active footwork and moves well to her backhand side. She fields the ball out in front of her body and has a clean exchange, making accurate, on-line throws to her target. Justine can field ground balls more efficiently by getting into a lower fielding position. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. She is smooth to load and works to barrel up the softball, using the entire field well. Driving her lower half more can help Justine produce more pop off the barrel. Overall, Justine is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon her skills on the field.
