01/17/2014 - Softball Factory Spring Training at Vero Beach Justyce is a talented SS and C with a well-balanced skill set. Defensively, she understands both positions well and sets a tone on the field. As a SS, she fields using soft hands and takes good angles to various balls off the bat. Working on fielding the ball out in front will help her to improve fielding and transfer time efficiency. Behind the plate, she has a natural demeanor, command and position awareness. She uses a low, athletic base, confident glovework and efficient footwork. Continuing to work on mastering her skill set will help to improve her efficiency. Overall, Justyce works hard and has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she is quick to contact with good bat extension allowing her to consistently put the ball in play. She shows good power and will benefit from using an athletic set up with a stride and load and an explosive lower half to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Justyce lives, breathes and dreams softball with a passion and has solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
