Behind the plate, Kaanoimaikaiani has active footwork and has good range in all directions. She stays low/athletic in her setup and has a firm glove when receiving. Kaanoimaikaiani gains ground smoothly on her transfer to throw and works well with her momentum for strength. Defensively, Kaanoimaikaiani fields the ball in the center of her body and keeps the ball in front at all costs. She has a quick exchange to throw and short arm action for a quick, accurate release to her target. Offensively, Kaanoimaikaiani is square in her setup and takes a soft stride to contact. She stays balanced throughout her swing and keeps her head quiet. Kaanoimaikaiani keep it simple and hits with a firm front side. She is consistent at the plate and works well middle to opposite field. By creating more separation with her hands and engaging more of her lower half, Kaanoimaikaiani will gain power and strength at contact. Overall, Kaanoimaikaiani will continue to improve and work on what is needed to take her game to the next level.
