05/25/2012 - College PREP - Phoenix, AZ Kaelin is an athletic 1B with a projectable frame for the position. She has soft, sure hands along with strong legs but will need to focus on balance and positioning to further develop around the bag defensively. She takes an aggressive approach to playing defense and has a good understanding of the position and its responsibilities and will benefit from playing lower and getting shoulders and feet in line to throw. At the plate, Kaelin uses a square set-up with a back load and short stride to launch her aggressive swing. Long at times, she keeps her head on the baseball and makes consistent, solid contact. To improve quality of contact and power potential, she will need to get more out of her lower half and rotate the hips more aggressively. Overall, she is a nice young player with a very attractive skill set and a solid overall approach to the game.
