07/31/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Caledonia, MS Kaelyn is a 2024 two-way player as a SS/C with an exciting skill set. In the box, Kaelyn is a LHH that also slaps. In the box, Kaelyn uses a square stance with short stride and centered balance. She loads her hands back and generates fluid rhythm. She generates fast bat speed and makes hard contact while showing gap power. When slapping, she shows great bat control and is able to work the 5/6 hole. Working on her pitch selection will round out her approach. At SS, Kaelyn is an athletic player with a smooth approach. She presents her glove on time, fields with sure hands and makes a clean exchange. She gets in line with her target and makes accurate throws. She is confident to her backhand and shows good field awareness on the double play. Behind the plate, Kaelyn has a good presence. She receives with sure hands and does a nice job of framing the zone. She reads balls in the dirt and gets down for the block quickly. She has a strong arm and makes accurate throws. Overall, Kaelyn is an exciting player that will have the opportunity to take her game to the collegiate level.
