At second base, Kaitlyn has active footwork and is agile in her lateral range. She fields in an athletic position and has a clean exchange. She has good footwork into each ground ball and a good glove angle. She can throw accurately from different arm slots and shows strength in her release over the top. In the outfield, she reads the ball well off the bat and has a strong first step. She is quick to get behind the ball and works through it smoothly. She has an aggressive mindset and an accurate throw to her target. Offensively, Kaitlyn has a square setup and soft stride in her pre-pitch approach. She loads well into her lower half and is smooth in her timing. Her balance is centered and she can hit for power to the gaps. Overall, Kaitlyn is an athlete with a great attitude and work ethic who is coachable.
