06/05/2018 - College PREP - Charleston, WV Kalea is a 2020 left handed first baseman with a developing skill set. Defensively, she hustles hard and has great effort on each play. She has an over the top arm slot on her throws to her target and works hard to keep the play in front. By focusing on staying low in her legs and bending at her knees rather than her back she will start to create more lateral range and keeping the ball in the infield more. Offensively, she has a square set up in the box and a soft stride to the ball. She loads back well in her legs and has quick hands through the zone. She makes consistent contact and has the ability to spray the ball to all sides of the field. Overall, Kalea has a great attitude and hustles hard.
