01/26/2019 - College PREP - Dayton, OH Kali Brickman is a 2020 right handed pitcher and first baseman with a well-balanced skill set. In the circle she is confident and controlled. She stays balanced and has good controlled mechanics and arm speed. Her hips stay closed throughout the pitch and she gets good leg drive. Kali's best pitches are the curve ball and fast ball. As long as she keeps up her arm speed on the change up that will also be a very effective pitch to keep hitters off balance. Overall she is a solid pitcher. At first base, she gets low and squared up on the ground ball. She has effective footwork and good glove side range which gives her an advantage to play more toward the 3/4 hole. Her exchange to throw is clean and her arm action is short and quick. She gets good momentum toward her target and has nice carry on her throw. She is consistently accurate to her target. Offensively, Kali starts square and athletic. She has smooth fluid rhythm and a good load with a short soft stride. Her hips and hands are quick and she generates explosive bat speed. Kali is a power hitter and can hit to all fields. Overall, she has the tools to play at the next level and will make an impact.
