05/18/2014 - College PREP - St. Louis, MO Kara is a talented SS with a balanced skill set. Defensively, she makes accurate throws, fields using sure glovework and moves well laterally. Working on fielding the ball out in front with softer hands and quicker more fluid footwork will help to improve range and efficiency. Overall, Kara has a confident approach to playing defense. As a hitter, she uses a square set up with short stride and keeps her balance centered before aggressively producing hard contact to all hitting fields. She has natural power and will benefit implementing a consistent stride and load and an explosive lower half to improve power, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Kara has a good frame for the position and solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
