At shortstop, Karina has active and efficient feet and is agile in her range. She presents her glove to the ball well and transfers the ball quickly and cleanly. She centers the ball up and is able to move behind and through it in a low position. Her throws are accurate and she is not afraid to lay out for a ball. In the outfield, Karina has great reads off the bat and an aggressive drop step. She has fluid footwork and athletic body movements. Her angles allow her to center up the ball and put an accurate throw onto her target. Offensively, Karina has an athletic setup and soft stride to the ball. She loads well into her lower half and has a smooth pre-pitch rhythm. She has great zone awareness, barrel control and extension enabling her to hit consistently with power. Overall, Karina is an athlete who is coachable and hardworking.
