03/24/2019 - College PREP - Greensboro, NC Kat Moody is a 2020 second baseman with a developing skill set. Defensively, she has active footwork and agile range with a nice backhand. She presents her glove well and has a quick exchange to throw. Her arm action is stiff at times so with added body control throughout her transfer her mechanics will smooth out. Offensively as a slapper, her hands load on time and she has power to the pull side. By keeping her hips engaged to the pitch longer and throwing her hands to the ball rather than first base she will have more barrel control and accuracy. Overall, Kat has a great attitude and is very coachable.
