09/08/2013 - College PREP - Philadelphia, PA Kat is a talented R/R OF from the 2015 class. Defensively, she has soft sure hands, active feet and displays fluid range. She gets good reads off the bat, stays in line to throw and gets around groundballs very well. An accurate thrower, she will benefit from added arm strength and following throws to increase momentum to her target. At the plate, Kat uses a square set up with a back/wrap load, no stride and keeps her balance centered before launching her short swing to the ball. An aggressive hitter, she has a good feel for the strike zone and keeps her hands through the ball to create extension. She has an above average bunt game and will benefit from working to strike the inside part of the ball to effectively use the entire field. Overall, Kat has a well-balanced skill set and with continued progression could have an opportunity to play at the next level.
