Defensively, she has active footwork and is agile in her range to the ball. She stays low and athletic in her fielding position and has soft hands when fielding the ball. She is short in her action to the ball and has a quick release on her throws to her target. On the mound, she extends through well on her release and keeps an open hip direction. She is fluid in her arm motion and displays solid spin on her pitches. Offensively, she has an athletic set up in the box and a square stride to the ball. She loads back well in her legs and stays center in her balance. She is explosive through the zone and displays the ability to spray the ball to all sides of the field. Overall, Katelynn is athletic and works hard.
