At SS, defensive abilities are excellent as she displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active as she attacks ball and works around to play through with her body. Glove action is clean and she presents well out front. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as she takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. She works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to her target. Range is a plus as she covers a lot of ground. Arm strength is tremendous (65 mph velocity) with accuracy and on line zip to her target. At the plate, she continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (66 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. She makes consistent hard contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. With 2 years to further develop, Katie has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from collegiate coaches with her softball abilities.
