11/24/2013 - College PREP - Savannah, GA Katie is a strong and powerful senior catcher. Behind the plate, Katie has sure hands with a good glove and soft body block. She gains ground and gets around the ball smoothly. Working on her fielding technique when it comes to bunts will increase her throw outs. Offensively, Katie uses a square setup, short stride with center balance to make hard consistent contact. She is an aggressive and strong hitter with fast bat speed. Working on keeping her hands inside the ball will increase her ability to hit the ball to all sides of the field. Overall, Katie is a powerful athlete that will continue to develop as a solid player.
