12/27/2017 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament - Session 2 Katie is a 2021 catcher with a strong skill set behind the plate. Defensively, Katie has active, effective footwork and has good range in all directions. She is athletic, low in her setup and displays soft receiving. Katie moves her upper half well to receive the ball in the center of her body and block well to all sides. She has a clean exchange and fluid arm action. Katie also has carry on her throws with accuracy to her targets. Offensively, Katie is athletic in her stance and works well up the middle of the field. She displays good potential and has some pop off the bat. Overall, Katie is a great receiver behind the plate and will continue to get stronger at the plate.
