01/18/2019 - 2019 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Tournament Kayla is a 2022 right handed third baseman with a strong skill set. Defensively, she has an athletic fielding position and active feet. She moves well laterally to the ball and stays low through each play. She fields the ball out front and makes accurate throws to her target. She has a clean exchange and carry on her release. Offensively, she has a square set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She activates her lower half well in her swing and keeps her barrel level through the zone. Overall, Kayla makes solid contact consistently and brings great energy to her team.
07/11/2018 - 2018 Atlanta Legacy Showcase 14U Kayla returns to Softball Factory for the Atlanta Legacy Tournament. During game play, Kayla showed a strong work ethic and love for the game. In the box, she battles through tough at bats and consistently puts the ball in play. She is able to draw the walk to get her team a base runner. Working to keep her head on the ball will allow her to drive the ball up the middle with power. At 3B, Kayla handles the routine play well. She works to make accurate throws. Gaining more momentum to her target will allow her to see more carry on the ball. Overall, Kayla is a team player and with continued coaching she will be able to take her game to the next level.
01/12/2018 - 2018 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Kayla is a coachable athlete with great attitude, hustle, and work ethic. Defensively, Kayla can play multiple positions and stays vocal in the field with her teammates. She has fluid footwork and agile range. She presents her glove out in front and will dive when needed. Kayla takes good angles to the ball and has a clean exchange. She works well with her momentum when fielding and makes accurate throws to her target. Offensively, Kayla has an athletic stance with a short stride to contact and is able to hit for power on both sides of the plate. She loads and stays balanced throughout her swing. Kayla has a fluid, smooth swing and has a good eye for the strike zone. She is a power hitter with great extension. Kayla has an explosive lower half, fast bat speed, and is able to work to all parts of the field. Overall, Kayla has done a lot of work since the last time she was with softball factory. She will continue to work and improve in every area she can. Kayla knows how to take command and make things happen.
07/12/2017 - 2017 Atlanta Legacy Showcase 14U We had great success at the legacy tournament and Kayla contributed to that in many ways. Defensively, Kayla played many positions and did a great job as expected. She has soft hands when fielding and presents her glove well. Kayla has a clean exchange to throw and makes accurate throws to her target. Offensively, Kayla produced power for us in the lineup and produced some key hits in RBI situations. She has great balance throughout her swing and has smooth, fluid rhythm to contact. Kayla stays connected with her hips/hands and makes hard, consistent contact. She is able to hit with power from both sides of the plate and hit consistently gap-to-gap. Overall, Kayla is a great athlete that will only continue to improve and be a great asset to any collegiate program.
