02/24/2013 - College PREP - Las Vegas, NV Kaylee is an aggressive OF from the 2014 class. Defensively, she is quick off the bat, aggressive to the ball and will benefit from keeping her arms close to her body when tracking the ball before extending glove hand only to catch. She stays with plays, has a coachable nature with the ability to make adjustments and to further develop will need to beat the ball to the spot to eliminate tendency to drift, stay on her power line with and active power-step/crow hop to throw and catch the ball at its highest point to avoid being handcuffed by late movement. At the plate, Kaylee uses a square set up with a back load, no stride and gets her weight to her heels at times before launching to the ball. An aggressive hitter, she gets long to the ball and will benefit from using her lower half more aggressively, keeping her barrel through the zone after contact and getting her hands inside the ball to properly shorten swing. She flashes pop, makes adjustments and displays solid hand eye coordination which suggests she will be able to steadily improve quality of contact and power production. Overall, Kaylee is a young junior with advanced instincts and carries herself very well in a competitive environment. She has ability and should commit to reaching her full potential through hard work and seeking quality instruction to ensure her development continues.
