12/27/2013 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Kaylee is an athletic, senior catcher with a well-balanced skill set. Behind the plate, Kaylee has an athletic, low, and flexible set up. She has soft and sure hand combined with active and efficient footwork. When blocking, she is able to deaden the ball and keep her head down. Kaylee has a quick and efficient release when throwing the ball down. Kaylee is a fundamentally sound catcher that will benefit from improving her framing skills. Offensively, Kaylee uses an open stance with a hands back load and short stride to make a positive move to the ball. She maintains centered balance and has a level swing path, which helps her make consistent contact. By working on her contact points and extension through the outside pitch, Kaylee will be able to be a threat to opposite field. Overall, Kaylee is a bulldog behind the plate. She made many adjustments over the weekend and she will continue to develop as a player.
10/06/2013 - College PREP - Scranton, PA Kaylee is an evolving C with a balanced skill set. Defensively, she receives with sure hands, makes accurate throws with life on the ball, and moves well to the ball when blocking. Working on a strong wrist when receiving will help to improve framing skills. Overall, Kaylee is aggressive and has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she uses a square set up with a back load and a short stride before launching to the ball with a level swing. She shows good power and will benefit from utilizing the lower half to improve contact, ultimately, allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Kaylee has a good frame for the position and has solid athletic ability to aid in her continued development as a player.
