12/27/2015 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Kelsey is a 2017 1B who continues to improve. Offensively, Kelsey does a lot of things right. She has good balance and a strong desire to improve. By softening her stride and incorporating additional lower half in her swing she will improve timing and power production. Defensively, Kelsey gives maximum effort to make plays for her team. She works hard, can be vocal, and has a naturally strong presence. She will benefit from improving body control and quickness. Overall, Kelsey is a good kid who has a passion for the game.
09/13/2015 - College PREP - West Chester (Philadelphia), PA Kelsey is a 2017 1B with a developing skill set. In the box, Kelsey is a RHH that uses a square stance with good balance and fluid rhythm. She works to take a direct route to the ball, generates good bat speed and is a consistent line drive hitter. She shows gap-to-gap potential with natural pop on the ball. Using an activated load will help Kelsey to avoid wrapping her bat and allow her to see an increase in her bat speed. At 1B, Kelsey has a good presence and shows good bag awareness. She handles the routine ball well and works to get in line with her target. Presenting her glove sooner and adding a pre pitch to her approach will allow Kelsey to field with soft/sure hands and play through the ball more. Overall, Kelsey is a hard working player and with continued coaching and exposure she will have the opportunity to take her game to the collegiate level.
