06/24/2013 - Softball Factory World Series Kelsey continues to develop as an athlete. As a RHP, she has a basic understanding of fundamentals and potential to be better. Continuing to focus on arm action, control, deliver, leg drive, pitch count, and utilizing her hips will increase accuracy, velocity, and movement. As a SS, she has an athletic fielding position, active footwork, and decent range, feeds, and pivots. Continuing to focus on confident glovework, staying online with throws when fielding, and angles to various balls will increase range and efficiency. As a hitter, she has a balanced set up, hits through the ball, and produces contact. Continuing to focus on a stride and load, driving the hands through the hitting zone, and timing will increase power and efficiency. Implementing a strength and conditioning program will increase speed, agility, power, body awareness, and coordination. As Kelsey continues to develop and mature through application and experience, she will be on track for seeking collegiate attention.
01/20/2013 - College PREP - Irving (DFW), TX Kelsey is a developed athlete. As a RHP, she displays good mound presence, athleticism, and pitchability. She has good command of her pitches (drop is her best pitch), using spins and pitch location to add control and delivery to hitters along with her athletic fielding position after the pitch. Focus on keeping the change up low in the hitting zone and more consistency with your drop and rise on both sides of the plate. As a hitter, she makes contact in the zone and uses all playing fields. Focus on a short, level bat path (uphill swing path), a balanced load and stride (back at times) , and utilize the lower half to generate power. As Kelsey continues to develop and mature through application and experience, her skill set will grow and keep her on track for collegiate attention.
